It’s Valentine’s day weekend and I felt like sharing with you the wedding of a couple in love for 10 years. When you meet Myriam and Etienne, you immediately feel the love they share but also their chemistry. It’s cliché but in their case it’s really true!
I spent over 2 years with them planning this wedding. They are so sweet and generous one towards another but also with the people they love! So when this day finally came, it was amazing to see the joy of their loved ones for this wonderful couple.
They have two beautiful kids that they managed to fully integrate to this day.
I will let you judge for yourself with the beautiful pictures of Sophie Asselin
They decided to do a ”first look” session before the ceremony in order to be present with their guests during the cocktail. More and more, couples decide to go this route in order to enjoy the cocktail after the ceremony instead of going away to do their formal pictures.
The wedding took place in restaurant l’Autre Version au vieux Montréal (closed since January 2016). The ceremony was set on the private terrasse in the back of the restaurant.
To integrate the kids in the ceremony, the newlyweds and their children each chose a sand of a different color that they then combine into a common vase. The sand then becomes inseparable just like their family.
During the cocktail, they decided to have a photobooth but with the Sophie Asselin taking the pictures so that they could offer their guest a beautiful picture as a keepsake of the wedding. I love the idea!
Just like the photobooth blackboard, they asked the talented Joy from Imagine Joy Calligraphy to make a huge board with their love story! The result is amazing and it was actually a gift that they decided to offer to themselves for their ten year anniversary.
Finally, a few pictures of the decor inside the restaurant where the reception took place. Too bad this place closed down as I would have loved to do other events in this space!
Myriam and Etienne, I hope you always keep this chemistry and this constant care that you have for one another. I wish you a few decades of happiness as a couple and as a family. Thank you for trusting me and for having me in your lives for the pas two years!
